How Biohacking saved me from digital burnout
I spend over 8 hours a day in front of a screen. Here's how I recovered my focus and energy, and how you can do it too (without complicating your life).
Hello, I'm glad you're here. If your day-to-day looks like mine, you probably spend most of your time sitting in front of a computer. You analyze metrics, solve technical problems, manage digital projects, and by late afternoon, you feel like your brain is running at half capacity.
Professionally, I belong to the digital sector (tech and data analytics). I'm passionate about optimization, efficiency, and mental performance. But above all, I am a self-taught health and wellness experimenter.
I am not a doctor, nor a scientist, and I don't claim to be. Neither am I a fitness guru who lives in an ice cave or has 4 free hours every morning for esoteric rituals. I am a real person, with a demanding job, who has learned to hack their biology to perform at their best without losing their mind in the process.
The Day I Hit the Burnout Wall
A few years ago, my reality was very different. I was trapped in the classic modern digital professional trap. The chronic stress accumulated at the office took its toll, and from one day to the next, my body and mind said "enough" through three clear signals:
- Constant Brain Fog: That feeling of wanting to focus on a line of code or a report and feeling like my head was full of cotton.
- Stress-Induced Insomnia: Going to bed exhausted but tossing and turning at 3:00 a.m. with my mind racing at a thousand miles an hour, thinking about tomorrow's tasks.
- Chronic Fatigue: Waking up in the morning as tired as when I went to bed, needing coffee in my veins just to get started.
I tried the typical "miracle solutions" on the internet, but nothing worked. As a data analyst, I decided to apply my professional bias to my own body: if we can optimize software through metrics, why not optimize human hardware?
That's when I discovered Biohacking. I started monitoring my biomarkers, tracking my sleep stages with devices, measuring how my blood sugar reacted to what I ate, and tracking my heart rate variability (HRV).
It wasn't magic; it was science, measurement, and minor adjustments. And it worked. I regained my energy, my sharp focus, and went back to sleeping like an eight-year-old.
My Trust & Transparency Policy
The digital health market is flooded with noise, impractical hacks, and supplements that only serve to empty your wallet. My mission with this blog is simple: to translate complex human performance science into practical, realistic habits for normal people who work and have limited time. Here are my rules of play:
- Brutal Honesty: If something worked for me and the data backs it up, I'll show you the process. If a trendy technique or gadget is a useless scam, I'll tell you with the same clarity.
- Healthy Skepticism: I don't follow fads. I analyze the actual scientific studies behind each wellness trend and put them under the microscope before making recommendations.
- Absolute Transparency: I am not a doctor. My goal is to share my own empirical experiments and summarize existing scientific literature so you can decide what to try. Always consult a medical professional first.
